Terms and Conditions for
advertising
Your
product / service must be related to the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas or be
of interest to G&S fans / performers.
You must have either a website we can link to (preferable) or a telephone number
we can publish so that interested parties can find out more about your product /
service.
All applications for advertising on the Gilbert and
Sullivan Shop Online will be considered. A decision will be reached
and the applicant informed by email (or telephone if email is not available).
Any decisions made by the Gilbert and Sullivan Shop Online are final and no
discussion will be entered into.
You agree that the Gilbert and Sullivan Shop Online
acts only to drive internet traffic to your site and will not answer queries
about your product / service on your behalf.
Your website must not contain any material, pictures, depictions or language
which would be considered offensive. The Gilbert and
Sullivan Shop Online's decision about what is deemed offensive is
final.
You agree to either pay the Gilbert and Sullivan Shop
Online an advertising fee of £15 per annum (or part thereof) or
obtain free advertising by placing a reciprocal link back to us on the home page
of your website.
Adverts will not be placed on the Gilbert and Sullivan
Shop Online website until either the £15 advertising fee is paid or
the reciprocal link is in place.
If you decide to take advantage of free advertising by placing a reciprocal link
on your site, the link must remain in place for 12 months from the date of
acceptance. After the 12 months has elapsed, you can remove the link by giving
us 14 days notice by email. If the link is removed before the 12 months has
expired or without the 14 days notice, the £15 advertising fee becomes due.
The Gilbert and Sullivan Shop Online
reserves the right to remove all advertising for your product / service without
compensation if the content of your site changes after acceptance and breaches
any of the conditions above. If such a situation occurs, you will be informed by
email. No money will be refunded and no discussion entered into.
The Gilbert and Sullivan Shop Online
reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice
(although all current advertisers will be informed by email and given the option
of cancelling their agreement without penalty)
However harsh the above T&Cs seem, at the end of the day we are really just
nice people who love the G&S operettas. If you have a genuine problem with
your website or a reciprocal link, please email
us and let us know before the situation gets out of hand.
