Arrangements of the orchestral parts of G&S
operettas for small chamber groups available at www.ericwetherell.co.uk.
Composer and arranger Eric Wetherell, whose varied career has also
included positions at the Royal Opera House, Welsh National Opera and as a BBC Radio 3 producer and conductor of
BBC orchestras, has arranged several of the operettas for smaller musical forces.
The arrangements are for about ten players - usually string quintet, wind quartet and percussion.
Excellent for smaller amateur groups or schools who want an 'authentic' string sound.

GILBERT
& SULLIVAN ARRANGEMENTS FOR REDUCED BAND
For hire from www.JohnPitts.co.uk: Arrangements of Pirates, Iolanthe and Gondoliers for small band (6 to 8/9 players).
These arrangements were written for use by the Bristol Savoy Operatic Society, and are designed to create a full and varied texture using few players, for production companies with limited space or resources. All parts contain clear cues and make good use of the smaller number of players! |

Then in 1999 'Yeomen of the Guard' Overall Winners of the International G & S Festival in Buxton and 2nd Runners up with 'Utopia Ltd' and most recently 'Iolanthe' winners of the International Festival 2000 with production runs in Kings Lynn & Derby.
